چکیده

The goal of this work is first to include a hysteresis model in the classical equivalent circuit (ECM) for battery system and then improve estimation state charge (SoC) by applying Extended Kalman Filter (EKF). hysteretic behavior open voltage (OCV) modelled with Preisach used magnetic materials. construction operator made means Everett function identified from experimental data which only involve charging curves battery. Thus, significant reduction time necessary obtain measurements achieved. assessed some laboratory experiments performed on lithium-ion results show that procedure very well reproduced, even when interior loops are present. In addition, use EKF allows us eliminate noise ensure accuracy SoC estimation. high computational efficiency precision method, joined limited resources needed numerical implementation, make it particularly suitable real-time embedded management (BMS) applications. proposed methodology well-adapted any type, independently SoC-OCV profile cycle.

State of Charge Estimation Using the Extended Kalman Filter for Battery Management Systems Based on the ARX Battery Model

State of charge (SOC) is a critical factor to guarantee that a battery system is operating in a safe and reliable manner. Many uncertainties and noises, such as fluctuating current, sensor measurement accuracy and bias, temperature effects, calibration errors or even sensor failure, etc. pose a challenge to the accurate estimation of SOC in real applications. This paper adds two contributions t...

Lithium-Ion Battery State of Charge Estimation Using One State Hysteresis Model with Nonlinear Estimation Strategies

Battery state of charge (SOC) estimation is an important parameter as it measures the total amount of electrical energy stored at a current time. The SOC percentage acts as a fuel gauge if it is compared with a conventional vehicle. Estimating the SOC is, therefore, essential for monitoring the amount of useful life remaining in the battery system. This paper looks at the implementation of thre...

Lithium-Ion Battery State of Charge and Critical Surface Charge Estimation Using an Electrochemical Model-Based Extended Kalman Filter

This paper presents a numerical calculation of the evolution of the spatially resolved solid concentration in the two electrodes of a lithium-ion cell. The microscopic solid concentration is driven by the macroscopic Butler–Volmer current density distribution, which is consequently driven by the applied current through the boundary conditions. The resulting, mostly causal, implementation of the...

Extended Kalman Filter with a Fuzzy Method for Accurate Battery Pack State of Charge Estimation

As the world moves toward greenhouse gas reduction, there is increasingly active work around Li-ion chemistry-based batteries as an energy source for electric vehicles (EVs), hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) and smart grids. In these applications, the battery management system (BMS) requires an accurate online estimation of the state of charge (SOC) in a battery pack. This estimation is difficul...

Battery State-Of-Charge Estimation Based on a Dual Unscented Kalman Filter and Fractional Variable-Order Model

State-of-charge (SOC) estimation is essential for the safe and effective utilization of lithium-ion batteries. As the SOC cannot be directly measured by sensors, an accurate battery model and a corresponding estimation method is needed. Compared with electrochemical models, the equivalent circuit models are widely used due to their simplicity and feasibility. However, such integer order-based m...
